"CNS Executives Visit Mrs Aushiri Gurung, Wife of Advisor Kiran Gurung - Sunday, 3 May 2026"

On Sunday, 3 May 2026, the executives of CNS visited Mrs Aushiri Gurung following her return from Nepal, where she had completed the funeral rites and Arghun for her late mother, Mrs Raj Kumari Gurung, who passed away at the age of 78 on Thursday, 19 March 2026.

The late Mrs Raj Kumari Gurung had been suffering from illness for just over two years. Throughout this period, her devoted husband, Mr Netra Bahadur Gurung, provided her with first-class care and unwavering support. Despite his tireless efforts, she peacefully departed this world on Thursday, 19 March 2026, for her eternal journey. She is survived by her husband, her son, three daughters, and their husbands.

The Chair offered heartfelt words in memory of the late Mrs Raj Kumari Gurung, reflecting that the journey of life and death is one we must all undertake; no one is immortal. He gently reminded Mrs Aushiri Gurung that, while the pain of loss is profound, we must find the strength to continue our lives, for this is the natural cycle of human existence.

To offer comfort, bring her lost souls and help ease the grief of losing her mother, the Chair invited Mrs Sun Devi Gurung to place a rupa around Mrs Aushiri Gurung, and Mrs Jas Kumari Gurung to place a rupa around Advisor Kiran Gurung (the son-in-law). The Chair then invited the Vice Chair to present a bouquet and the Ladies Coordinator to present a condolence card.

Advisor Kiran Gurung warmly thanked the committee for organising the executives' visit and expressed his hope that this meaningful tradition will continue in the future, as such visits provide invaluable moral support to those grieving the loss of a parent. He shared that in the Buddhist tradition, the deceased's family offers food to their guests so that the departed soul may receive blessings in the eternal life. In keeping with this sacred custom, food had been thoughtfully prepared for all those present.

Having shared in the meal and offered our condolences, we departed for our residences at approximately 5:15 pm, with sincere thanks to Advisor Kiran Gurung and Mrs Aushiri Gurung for their gracious hospitality. The CNS executives were the Chair, Vice Chair, Ladies Coordinator, Cultural Coordinator, and Area Rep, New Town, Kiran Pandey. The treasurer sent his apologies.

May the late Mrs Raj Kumari Gurung rest peacefully in her eternal life among the angels.
