’'An Evening of Entertainment with Sunita Dulal and Arjun Sanam - Sunday 30 June’’

Dear all,

As planned the evening with Sunita Dulal and Arjun Sanam took place at the TLA School yesterday.

Members of CNS began to arrive by 6pm and decorated the hall with banners, gagri, flowers, drinks were ready and food arrived shortly afterward. The Secretary then called the attention of everyone, made welcome and spoke about health and safety during the function,

The Master of the Ceremony (MC) then swung the programme in an eloquent order in such a refreshing manner. She then introduced the singer duo and the chair gave them both a khada and bouquet of flowers each, he then lit the candles with the assistant of the Ladies Coordinator.

The programme then began with duet songs until 9pm. The MC then introduced Poonam Gurung, candidate for President NRNA in 2019 and she then gave a short speech highlighting her aims and requested everyone of all castes and creed to support her.

Vegetarian supper was provided by Quayside Bar and Gurkha Restaurant, it was first class and enjoyed by everyone.

Then phase two of the entertainment began with duet songs for everyone to dance and enjoy the evening. The programme was so good I had to extend half an hour to let everyone enjoy.

Then it was time for the artist duo to be presented with their certificates for their talent, exemplary voice and melodious songs.

The Chair presented certificates and £451 each for their excellent entertainment provided for the members of CNS. The evening was rounded off with few words from the Chair, he particularly congratulated the following for their excellent conduct in the evening.

Mr and Mrs Yubaraj Khatri for collection and looking after the artists duo and accommodating at their own resident including decoration items and decoration in the evening.

Secretary - For organising tickets, certificates and health and safety brief including welcome speech.

Media Coordinator - For printing tickets

Area Reps - For selling tickets and bringing as many people as they possibly can.

Culture Coordinators - For erecting banners and assisting artists, arranging better quality sound system and assisting finding entertaining music.

Dipen Mohora - For fixing music for the evening and you have made our evening possible.

Drinks Coordinator - For arranging cold drinks available when required to quench everyone’s thirst.

Food Coordinator - For arranging such an excellent food, mouth watering and enjoyable too, he is asked to pass a message to Quayside Bar and Gurkha Restaurant for their excellent vegetarian meal, well done.

Master of the Ceremony - For her extraordinary talents for announcing and making her speech so attractive and at the same time enjoyable, you are the pillar of the society, well done.

Mrs Tara Aryal wife of Mr Krishna Aryal and her daughter-in-law from Yak and Yeti Restaurant - For setting up chairs for the members.

Treasurer - For his contributions toward sorting out finance of the evening and releasing updated account so quickly, well done.

Members of CNS - without their attendance the event was not possible for which a huge round of applause to everyone of them.

Conclusion - Although, the event was arranged at last minute and despite lesser number of people attending, the programme was a huge success and I thank the artists duo for making the evening such a memorable one.
