Mrs Suk Maya Limbu has been unwell over the past few months and has received medical treatment at Colchester General Hospital. Following a recent procedure, she has now returned to her flat at Gurkha Home, where she is continuing her recovery.
In a gesture of care and solidarity, members of the Colchester Nepalese Society (CNS) Executive Committee visited Mrs Limbu at her home on Monday, 12 January. During the visit, the Executive Committee was pleased to find her in good spirits, resting comfortably, and spending quality time with her family.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Chair of CNS offered words of comfort and encouragement, reminding Mrs Limbu that human life is inevitably subject to challenges, but reassuring her that she is in the United Kingdom, where she will continue to receive good care and support. He wished her every success in her recovery and a speedy return to full health.
As is customary, the Vice Chair presented Mrs Limbu with a get-well card, while the Area Representative for Gurkha Home offered her flowers. In keeping with Nepali tradition, Rupa was placed around her neck as a symbol to restore strength, bring back lost soul, and wish her a long and healthy life.
The visiting delegation included the Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Food Coordinator, Area Rep Gurkha Home, and Advisor Mr Umesh Kumar Pun MVO, and Mr Kiran Gurung. After spending about an hour with Mrs Limbu and her family, the Executive Committee respectfully took their leave, allowing her to rest in peace and comfort.
The Colchester Nepalese Society sincerely wishes Mrs Suk Maya Limbu a swift recovery and a return to her usual self very soon.
