Dear all,
Bhaji on the beach was organised by Essex County Council to entertain members of Ethnic Minority Communities by taking them out to see the outside world and mingle with the general public on Friday 20 August at Martello Tower at Clacton-on-Sea.
The Indian and African Communities provided Henna and African Drums activities and open outdoor big-screen cinema.
The Essex County Council also provided £2,500 from Covid Summer Support Fund for food and transportation.
The expenses for the day is shown below:
Hiring a 70 seater coach - £581
Food for 70 people £16 x 70 - £1,120
Thank you to the driver - £15
Total spent so far - £1,716
Total received £2,500-£1,716 = £784 left in CNS bank account. We will use the above fund to organise another outing in due course.
I believe everyone enjoyed the free trip including food. We left Martello tower at 3:30 pm went to Clacton Pier and spent just under two hours there and left Clacton at 6 pm.
It was an excellent outing and mingled with the general public after almost two years of lockdown and was enjoyed by everyone.
While out and about at Clacton we were wary about Covid and necessary actions were taken to avoid Covid infection.
I was given £1300 cash by the Treasurer, I will return the remaining cash of £165 to the Treasurer shortly.
I am too busy right these days, it has taken some time to produce the report for which I sent my sincere apologies.
Many thank you for being part of the visit.
Well done.

Dear Chairman,
After long time of confined life periods “that must be great opportunity for CNS members” I would say and sure your dedication is appreciated by all members. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it, hopefully everyone enjoyed the day out thoroughly. Thanks for the update.
