CNS Celebrates Dashain in a festive style - 5/6 October 2019

Dear all Executives, Advisors, Committee and general members,
It was my utmost great pleasure to serve and lead you as the Deputy Chairman in absence of the Chairman for this great festive Dashain celebrations 2019, where almost just under 300 members and their family members attended.
I hoped you along with your family members had witnessed and have enjoyed throughout the evening. Having received a lots of positive feedback and praise from youngster to senior citizens, I can now conform that the Dashain party has been celebrated with a great level of success.
Without further due I would now like to give my sincere thanks to all those below who have given their full support and time either directly or indirectly in order to make this important event a very successful one:
Decoration and venue set up - Although we had a limited members turned up for the preparation, they all worked tirelessly until the very last moment to ensure that the venue was prepared and ready by 4pm and they are as follows:
Umesh Pun, Tara Pun, Rubin Grg Arjun Sunuwar, Bhel Birkata, Bishnu Gurung, Rabi Gauchan,
Milan Rai,Kiran Grg, Kushal Ghale, Sambardhan Tamang, Dhan Nepali, Kul Limbu, Amar Limbu
General Secretary - Mr Dilip Mohora has ensured that as per the instruction all the necessary paperworks have been completed and printing of higher achievement certificates.
Additionally he has provided the raffle draw prizes and running of the Raffle draw. He worked very hard in order to achieve all those objectives laid down for the evening for which he truly deserves a well done.
Treasurer - Mr Kiran Gurung has accurately provided cash money to all those who needed to purchase as per the Dashain instruction. This time, Kiran along with his son, Alvin Gurung has taken the responsibility of exchanging of drink’s chips to beverages coord which had worked accurate account of drinks. I appreciate and thanks to him and his son for the running of cash exchange to chips in order to serve drinks as smoothly as possible. Additionally he has cash float money to those who required for running if the event. He is now working out the overall income/expense of the party which will be due out soon. Well done
Food Coord - Mr Rubin Gurung is to be praised for the provision of such a mouthwatering items of food. As per the menu, Taj Mahal Restaurant provided food for the party, both starter, main course and desert have been very delicious and more than enough for everyone. A very well done and thanks goes to Taj Mahal Restaurant Braintree, food co-ord Rubin Gurung and his wife along with area reps for their dedication to ensure that everyone in the party is fed properly. Especially my thanks goes to Mrs Mandy Gurung and Mr Santosh Rana who have given their volunteers help tirelessly to food coord. Well done
Beverage co-ordinator - Mr Kul Limbu, his wife and Mr Amar Limbu have provided as per the instruction and helped running of the drinks throughout the party, due to restriction of selling drinks at the school, this is the 2nd time that we have been introducing the new system of using a chip coin in lieu of cash money and it worked perfectly well. All assorted drinks were enough and cold enough to serve. He and his team should be praised for the smooth running of drinks service, Well done
Anchors/Host/MC - Mrs Sanu Subba was the master of ceremony who has undoubtably been dedicated in smooth running of the program. She worked extremely well to make the evening very interesting and enjoyable throughout the party, for which she truly deserved a very well done and much appreciation for her dedication towards CNS. Well done
Cultural Coord - Asst Cultural co-ordinator, Rita Magar in absence of Cultural coord, Mitra Grg has made the evening enjoyable with variety of high level dances, stage song and most note able surprise magic by Mr Tara Pun, for which she is truly deserve a very well done. I also like to thanks to Mrs Mina Pun for her volunteers assistance to cultural coord. My sincere thanks and a very well done to both of them. I would also like to give my thanks to all those dancers and stage performers who were amazing and show pieces of the evening. Well done to you all.
Area Reps/Helping members - Mr Amar Limbu and Mrs Bishu Sherchan from Gurdon Road, Mr Bhelbahadur Birkata, Mr Arjun Rai, Mrs Sangita Sunuwar from St.Michael area, Mr Arjun Sunuwar, Mrs Yoshoda Shrestha from New town/Mersea area, Mr Karnabahadur Rana from Gurkha Home, Mrs Usha Ghale, Mrs Jita Rai from Highwood/Greenstate area, have all played a leading role for accurate selling of the tickets as per the instruction. Each and every area reps are truly deserves a very well done for their exemplary work towards CNS.
Additionally Mr Bhel Birkata, Arjun Sunuwar, Mrs Usha Ghale and Mrs Mandy Gurung helped assistance manning of the main entrance for ticket checking/selling, overall leadership of Mrs Kamala Khatri the following help in selling of raffle draw and made a huge profit of £253.28, for which I’m very proud to the following: Mrs Bishu Sherchan, Mrs Kalpana Sherchan, Mrs Chandan Gurung, Mrs Sangita Sunuwar, Mrs Usha Ghale and Mrs Kalpana Gurung,
Ladies Co-ordinator - Mrs Kamala Khatri has provided Gagris, flowers and helped out the setting up Dipprajawalan, and also help leading of running of deaf foe draw. She worked very hard along with Mr Dilip Mohara and Mrs Sanu Subba throughput the evening. A very well done and thanks to Kamala Bahini.
DJ/Music system operator - I like to extend my thanks to Mr Sambardhan Tamang and Mr Dipes Mohara for the excellent running of the music system throughout the evening. Well done
Clean up/Hand over hall - My thanks also goes to all those who has stayed until last moment in helping out cleaning and handover the hall. Very well done to you all.
CNS Members - Most importantly, I would like to pass my sincere thanks to all members and their families who has made themselves available to participate in this important event and made the party a successful one. Without your presence the party would not have successful, thank you very much for your attendance and hope to see you next year.
Finally I and my family wish you all once again a very Happy and prosperous Dashain 2076BS, and also in advance a very Happy Tihar 2076BS.

CNS is one of the exemplary modern Nepali society based in Roman ancient oldest town Colchester. The first generation of Gurkhas and all other backgrounds of migrant Nepalese proudly united and established this an unique civilised society in early 2006.
