Dear Chairman and members,
First of all, with the positive feedback of the attending members on the Kalaratri evening, I learnt that everyone enjoyed the Kalaratri night in a good, and entertaining environment on last Saturday. I hope that the bond between the members of CNS will continue to strengthen in the years ahead. On the occasion of this year's Vijaya Dashami, I extend my warmest greetings to all the members of the CNS. Hopefully, we will see you all at the upcoming CNS events.
Secondly, the 10th Convention and Annual General Meeting of Colchester Nepali Society (CNS) will be held on 11th January 2026. Consequently, the tenure of the current Executive Committee will end on 11th January 2026. The names of new members will be elected or nominated for the positions of the new Executive Committee.
As you are aware, CNS has been bringing together Nepalis living in and around Colchester since its inception in 2006, preserving our culture and identity, and collectively addressing social and other needs. This is to inform you all that the two-year term of the CNS current working committee will end in the 2nd week of January 2025. Therefore, during the meeting held on 7th August 2025, we entrusted the responsibility of forming a new working committee to the two CNS advisors Capt (Retd) Umesh Pun MVO and Kiran Gurung for the Election Committee. Hence, we fully anticipate your cooperation and participation to ensure this important election process proceeds smoothly. it absolutely necessary for the designated positions within the executive body to be finalised in strict accordance with CNS statutes. While maintaining this, it remains our priority to strictly follow democratic processes and all formal recognition procedures.
I believe this will certainly promote inclusiveness, transparency, fairness, and strengthen democratic values and norms. All interested candidates are kindly requested to register their names in a timely manner, following the rules and procedures outlined attached below:
Thank you
Kiran Gurung
