The executives of CNS visited Mrs Laxmi Nepali and Mr Dhan Bahadur Nepali at their residence in St. Michael’s Estate on Saturday, 14 March 2026. The visit was arranged to offer our condolences to Mrs Laxmi Nepali following the passing of her beloved mother, Mrs Rupa Nepali, who passed away peacefully at the remarkable age of 90.
Living to the age of 90 is truly a blessing and a testament to a long and fulfilled life. Mrs Rupa Nepali had the privilege of witnessing generations of her family grow, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Such a life is worthy of remembrance and respect.
Upon arrival, after refreshments were kindly offered by the family, the Chair spoke about the profound difficulty that families experience when a loved one passes away. The loss of a mother is particularly painful, and the process of accepting such a loss is never easy. However, the Chair also reflected on the comfort that comes from knowing that Mrs Rupa Nepali lived a full life of 90 years, during which she was lovingly cared for by her family and surrounded by her children and descendants. Death is an inevitable part of life that every human being must face one day, yet the memories and legacy of those who depart remain with us.
As part of the visit, the Chair requested the Vice Chair to place a traditional Rupa around Mrs Laxmi Nepali’s neck as a symbolic gesture of comfort and respect, wishing that any sorrow carried with the departed soul may return as strength and peace to the family. The Ladies Coordinator then presented Mrs Laxmi Nepali with a flower and a condolence card on behalf of CNS, offering prayers and blessings that the ancestors (purkhas) may guide and protect the family, and that their lives may continue to be filled with happiness, prosperity, and their children's success.
The CNS team spent just over two hours with the family, sharing memories and offering support during this difficult time. We are grateful to Mrs Laxmi Nepali for her warm hospitality and her wonderful culinary hospitality during our visit.
We (Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Ladies Coordinator, Area Rep St Michael Pravin, and Advisor Umesh) left with heartfelt wishes for the family’s peace, strength, and happiness in the days ahead.
