Dear all,
This is just an update for everyone. CNS somehow managed to take part in the Rice and Spice festival and successfully completed it today. The festival was incredible; those who did not come to the festival “you guys missed a great opportunity”, I would say.
CNS performed one Nepali dance and Chyabrung Limbu dance. We fed the visitors freshly cooked pork and chicken curry with steamed basmati rice free of charge. I am running out of energy today to write everything in detail, however you can imagine the outcome after math.
On behalf of the CNS I would like to thank dancer Miss Aryal daughter of Mr Sanya Aryal and all Chyabrung team Chhatra Limbu, Dambar Limbu, Singa Limbu, Kumar Limbu, Deuman Limbu, Mrs Sanu Subba and other Limbu didi haru. I would like to convey my enormous special thanks to all my helpers Ladies coordinator Kamala Khatri, food coordinator Dambar Limbu, Mr Singa Limbu, Sobita Gurung, Ram Psd Gurung, Surya Bdr Gurung, Chin Bdr Pun, Karna Bdr Ran, Cham Bdr Pun, Tam Bdr Pun, Narahang Rai and including all Gurkha home senior citizens baba-amma haru. Gurkha home is vertebrae of the CNS, if members of the Gurkha home weren’t there CNS would have been fish without water. I appreciate that everyone really grafted today so thank you very much from the bottom of my heart once again.
CNS spent £311.52 for the festival in total and I have published expenditures in detail below:
Food and mix accessories - £251.51
Nepali dancer - £50
Van fuel - £10
Total - £311.51
I was doing here and there so I missed the chance to take pictures of the important activities so I do apologize. However something is better than nothing so I have shared a few pictures of the festival below.

Dear Secretary,
A very well done. Your team including the ladies coordinator are the backbone of CNS, I am incredibly proud of you all.
Well done for the first class dance by Sanjay Bhai’s daughter, she was the saviour of CNS and Damar and Chhatra along with all the crew for their Chyabrung dance, I am sure all the festival goers must have enjoyed it.
I am sure everyone enjoyed cooking in the field in firewood, which is an excellent experience for everyone.
Finally, I like to thank the Secretary, Ladies coordinator, assistant ladies coordinator, Food coordinator, assistant food coordinator, area reps and members of Gurkha Home and senior citizens including Lt Tam Bahadur Pun, daughter of Sanjaya and Chyabrung dance team for making the Festival of Rice and Spice such a success not forgetting Santosh who fetched all the tents, chairs, tables and returned at the end of the day.
I must also thank Ex-Treasurer for loaning his marquee for the day, it has done a magic.
I am very proud of you all. I missed your company on such an incredible occasion.
Well done once again.
