“Food Support from Essex Associations of Local Councils (EALC)”

Many thanks for your kind award of £3,000 to Colchester Nepalese Society members. As shown below, we have distributed the most needed people with reasons against their names.

1. Mrs Saraswoti Shahi £360 - She lost her husband through Cancer in Sep, and she and her son are now living with relatives; they can not work due to a home office ruling.

2. Mrs Binu Limbu £360 - She lost her husband through cancer on 12 Dec, and she has to look after her son and his children

3. Mr Jit Bahadur Limbu £360 - He has cancer, is receiving treatment and is not working.

4. Mrs Ma Limbu £360 - She is a single mother with two young daughters, 12 and 10 years old.

I have asked them to use their extra food support from the Essex Association of Local Councils with care. The families are to use £120 every month for December 2022, January and February 2023. Similarly, singles are to use £40 every month for December 2022, January and February 2023. We gave the monies at the end of refreshments after Late Hari Lal Limbu's funeral at Gurkha Home.
