As promised the Japanese Food Sharing Project sponsored by Firstsite and run by Takashi from the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation took place on Sunday 17 March from 11am to 2.30pm.

As briefed our team have produced the following food. Cell roti, Jhilinge, Purée, Sukkha roti on the spot at Firstsite and different kinds of Aludam. The Bangladeshi team have produced varieties of food so the Venezuelan team produced their food, Syrian food and Takashi produced varieties of Japanese food.

Takashi decided that all the food were put into the ceramic plates we had painted last Sunday and it really looked excellent with international food mixed together and it looked mouthwatering.

Each team explained their food, starting from Nepalese food, followed by Bangladeshi food, next was Venezuelan food, Syrian food and finally Takashi explained about Japanese food.

The Japanese Media Representative took several pictures which will be published in Japan.

On completion of explanation everyone were given a plate, fork and knife and tasted the international food and enjoyed by those people who attended.

All together there were more than 50 people participating including eating. I believe it was an excellent experience enjoyed by those taking part.

I like to take this opportunity to thank the following for being part of the team and excelled so well. Area Rep Gurkha Home Karna Bahadur Rana, Mr Sovit Gurung, Mrs Chair, Mrs Jas Kumari Gurung, Mrs Tek Maya Pun, Mrs Yal Maya Pun, Mrs Tok Maya Pun and Mrs Masna Limbu from Gurkha Home and Advisor Umesh Pun MVO.

Well done everyone.
