Ladies Teej Celebration - Saturday 15 September

Dear all,

Despite being a belated Teej Celebration, I believe the ladies (under the guidance of Ladies Coordinator, Deputy Ladies Coordinator and their colleagues) managed to celebrate Teej in a grand style yesterday.

My congratulations to the Ladies Coordinator, Deputy Ladies Coordinator and their colleagues for preparing everything including their own way/style of running their event.

All ladies who turned up yesterday, well done to each and everyone supporting CNS ladies endeavours.

Very many congratulations to everyone and a big THANK YOU.

This will be the way forward in the future years too. No male members allowed except two male members for their security.

My special thank go to the following individuals:

They were there at TLA at 4pm and decorated the hall, tables laid out with tables cloth and flowers, banners erected at the stage and welcome banners at the door.

Our aim was to allow our ladies enjoy them without doing any preparatory work, which with the help of the above gents, we have achieved a big thank you to everyone.

I must not forget to thank Naina Singh Gurung setting up Gurung’s PA system therefore we have used TLA PA as well as Gurungs PA and the Deputy Ladies Coordinator or known as MC to everyone was chuffed to bits seeing the superlative PA system which has encouraged her more.

Finally I must thank the Ladies Coordinator, her Deputy and their colleagues for their hard work, dedication, commitment and will to do well for every ladies living in CNS, but sadly some did not make an attempt to attend such a fantastically run celebration.

From the Ladies Coordinator-

Dear all,

I would like to personally thank each and every one who supported us in making this teejs party a massive success, the party was organised in hopes that us CNS ladies have a blasting time. Despite our original plan of having performances by Sunita Dhulal ji did not work out due to her own health issues, I am thankful that the ladies still attended our late teej programme. I believe that every one had most fun and enjoyed every moment.

There were a lot of hands behind the organising and running of the party, on behalf of myself, my ladies organiser team, I would like to specially thank the following for their hard work though out the party;

Food IC Rubin dai and New Town Area Rep Arjun Sunuwar bhai had done a great job on the selection of food. Also our food was from Yak and Yeti, who provided delicious starters and mains.

Yasodha Shrestha, Jita Rai, Usha Gurung and Bishnu Limbu who were in charge of the drinks,

Sell roti was sponsored by myself, Highwoods and Greenstead reps Usha Gurung and Jita Rai. Flowers bouquet for winners of Mrs Teejs 2018 was sponsored by Mina Pun, Jita Rai and Yasodha Shrestha.

Mrs Teej 2018 had 12 participants of which we had 3 winners, congratulations to Winner Laxmi Kandel, 1st Runner Up Puja Pandey, 2nd Runner Up Binita Bhandari. Judges were Mina Pun, Sita Limbu, Samasti Tulachan and Rupa Pun.

Dance performances at the beginning by chori Bibuti and Stuti Aryal, and a solo dance by Mrs Mina Pun. The host for the night was deputy ladies coordinator Sanu Subba. Cultural deputy co ordinator was Rita Magar. As Udai daju mentioned above, I would like to thank all daju and bhai behind the scenes who took time off to prepare the hall. Also, every one who had took part in the dismantling and cleaning up of the hall at the end of the party.

We hope all ladies had a wonderful time and there were many hands in making this teejs a night to remember, I apologise for anyone who I may have failed to mention. I hope that we will have more functions with such outcome and better.
