The CNS senior citizens east coast excursion was enjoyed by those present and it went beyond our expectations.
We started from Reserve Forces Centre at 8.30am visiting Harwich, stopping at Southwold for lunch, then to Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth, Norwich and driving past Norwich City Football Club (Canaries).
We were back to Colchester by 8.20pm having enjoyed our trip.
The two most important aspects of our visit were.
a. We were told by our driver that there used to be a Witch finding General in Mistley in Suffolk in the 16th century.
b. Nuclear Bunkers were built in the coast of Suffolk during Cold War.
I like to to thank everyone for being part of the excursion including the drivers, Val Waters, Mrs Kanala Khatri and Mrs Jita Rai for their excellent ROTI enjoyed by everyone, Mrs Mandy Gurung for acting as a liaison person between the driver and senior citizens in Coach 1.
Asst Secretary was unable to attend at last minute due to his prior engagement.
Details of income and expenditure is shown below:
Coach 1 -£576 from passengers @£12 x 48 persons and £26 collected for driver.
Coach 2 - £432 from passengers @£12 x 36 persons and £18 collected for driver.
Therefore Coach 1 £576 + Coach 2 £432=£1008.
Contributions from senior citizens to Kings Coaches is £990 therefore £1008-£990=£18 left over.
Therefore £18 from contributions, £26 from collection for driver from Coach 1 and £18 from collection for driver from Coach 2 is £18+£26+£18=£62 divided by 2=£31 each, which we presented to drivers at Reserve Forces Centre at 8.35pm
Well done everyone.
