Dear Members,
The senior citizen's visit to the East coast of England went as planned.
We 106 members gathered in front of the Gurkha Britannia yesterday at 07:50; after a short brief, we boarded into two coaches and headed towards Great Yarmouth, followed by Lowestoft, and finally Southwold.
The coaches' chalk commanders (Udai and Kiran) gave a lot of information about the visit and the plan for CNS until February 2023.
They made their chalks as entertaining as possible from the start until arrival back to Colchester.
We had a lunch break at Lowestoft at about 1:30, where we enjoyed the food prepared by Area Rep Gurkha Home Mrs Jas Kumari Gurung and her colleagues. The food was delicious, mouth-watering and very tasty indeed. My thanks go to Mrs Jas Kumari Gurung and her colleagues from Gurkha Home.
Everyone told me that the visit went well to everyone's satisfaction. I am pleased to be able to organise such visits. The senior citizens and some of the above 50 years will be visiting the Gurkha Museum at Winchester on Sunday, 6 August 2023.
We arrived at Colchester on completion of the visit by 19:30 hours.
I must thank everyone who visited with us yesterday; if you hadn't come, it would not have been a success. Therefore, everybody must take credit.
Well done, everyone.
