The Executive Committee (Chair, Secretary, Ladies Coordinator and Bhel Birkata Area Rep St Michaels) paid a visit to Radha Limbu at No 1 Sittang Close after the Pre-AGM on Sunday 29 December 2019. Due to their prior engagements Area Rep St Michaels Arjun Rai and Sangita Sunuwar were unable to accompany us.
Mukti Bahadur Limbu married Radha Limbu just over a year ago in Nepal; since their marriage it has taken sometime to get her ILE. She arrived in Colchester to join her husband, Sasu and Sasura, month and half ago.
On arrival at No 1 Sittang Close, we were made welcome by Mrs Surya Bahadur Limbu and made feel at home and offered her speciality Tongba and some refreshment.
Having enjoyed the refreshment; the Chair made special welcome to Radha Limbu on behalf of Colchester Nepalese Society and advised her the responsibilities of a good wife and buhari. She has been asked to be a very good member of CNS and take part in its activities as much as she can.
She was further asked to take part in the roles of committee members when she is settled well in Colchester.
The Chair further asked both Mukti and Radha to take membership of CNS and help the CNS as much as they can.
Once the Chair has made his short speech, the Ladies Coordinator presented a khada, bouquet of flower to Radha Limbu and CNS hamper bag. The Chair and Secretary presented a khada and card to Mukti respectively. Ladies Coordinator presented a Khada to Mrs Surya Bahadur Limbu, due to work (the father) Mr Surya Bahadur Limbu was not present during the welcoming.
Photographs were taken by Area Rep Bhel Birkata St Michael Area.
Once again welcome to Colchester Radha and I am sure you will like Colchester and enjoy your married life as much as you can.
Udai B Gurung MBE
Chair/Trustee
