Ladies and gentlemen,
What an excellent Intergenerational Integration and Nepal New Year 2075 was observed by those who were fortunate to have attended the event yesterday at Colchester Institute.
Preparation began in earnest by Deputy Beverages Coordinator (Tara Pun) by buying drinks in bulk, the Deputy Chair buying table clothes, vases, flowers, balloons and any other items required and issuing camouflage net from his own unit. Similarly gagris were prepared by the Ladies Coordinator including fresh flower, a big thank you to the Deputy Beverages Coordinator, Deputy Chair and Ladies Coordinator for their excellent contribution and well done.
On actual day it began with setting up the hall, decoration and preparation of drinks area and food area; we have completed everything by 3pm half an hour earlier than we were expected to complete by good coordination and collaboration of everyone involved.
I like to thank those persons who turned up at 1pm especially the Executive Committee, Area Reps and number of volunteer members without their sheer and dogged hard work we wouldn’t have achieved it. Well done everyone.
The actual programme began at 4.30pm with the announcing by the Master of ceremonies (Media and Spokesperson and Deputy Ladies Coordinator) including setting up of Raffle Draw. I must give credit to the MCs for their prowess in announcing and the way the whole programme was run and I must thank them both and well done.
Music began to be heard from the speakers arranged by Culture Coordinators and the true sense of party began.
The Deputy Beverages Coordinator (Krishna Sunuwar) and his helpers began serving drinks to the members and the Food Coordinator began serving starter to everyone. It was running like a clock ticking and I was so happy and the starter was first class. My thanks must go to Food Coordinator, Deputy Beverages Coordinator and Gurkha Britannia restaurant for all their hard work and commitment.

The MCs began their announcing with their attractive voices asked the secretary to make a short welcome speech and health and safety brief.
The secretary did so very eloquently and I must thank the secretary for doing so - well done.
The MCs began the programme by introducing the Executives and asked them to take their seats where ever they were either welcoming everyone or involved elsewhere. They then handed over to Cultural Coordinators to run cultural programme.
The cultural programme began with the Nepali National Song orchestrated by the Cultural Coordinators and it was a coincidence that we were fortunate to have Musician and singer Mr Basanta Sapkota among us, we have heard his songs and he was a true gentlemen I must thank the Cultural Coordinator organising this coincidence.
The cultural programme were so attractive, full of enjoyment and their talents were outstanding and I have been gobsmacked by their professionalism. My thanks go to everyone involved and well done to both Cultural Coordinators for organising such an excellent cultural programme.
The MCs began asking the Executives, Committee Members, Advisors and Area Reps to come forward to the stage. I am so proud of leading such an excellent team of people who have been doing such a fantastic job for the members and in recognition of their outstanding contribution, I have been asked to give them a Khada which I did with great pride. Khadas were provided by Mrs Chair.
The Food Coordinator then served main meal to members, the food were very tasty, plenty and mouth watering and my thanks go to the Food Coordinator and Gurkha Britannia restaurant for producing such a tasty and freshly made food - well done.
The MCs once again attracted the audience with their attractive voices and excellent announcing techniques and asked once again to Mr Bassnta Sapkota to sing few more songs and everyone enjoyed his talent and there were quite a few people at the stage dancing in the tune of his songs.
Both MCs then began talking about the Raffle Draw and draw took place in earnest and I must thank those people who have won the prizes and equally I must thank the sponsors for being so generous to CNS for presenting their attractive prizes.
Midnight came upon us and we celebrated Nepal New Year 2075 with the Executives and senior citizen’s and Area Reps by opening their Champagne bottles sponsored by Mr Bal Prasad Sherchan BEM and Mr Gaman Gauchan. It was a true celebration and everyone were given Champagne to drink in order to celebrate Nepal New Year 2075. I must thank both Mr Bal Prasad Sherchan BEM and Mr Gaman Gauchan for their generosity.
It was already too late and we began dismantling decorations, collecting table clothes, vases, flowers for future use.
We left the Colchester Institute by just after 40 minutes passed mid night.
Once again I must thank those people who turned up to celebrate Nepal New Year without their presence it would not have been such a success - A huge credit goes to all the Area Reps for distributing tickets to everyone. Well done.
My heartfelt thanks go to everyone who’ve either directly or indirectly involved in making sure we celebrate Nepal New Year 2075 in style for which I am so grateful to you all.
Well done
