‘’CNS Executives visited Mrs. Basanti Jimi at New Town Monday 31 July 2023''

The CNS Executives, the Chair/Trustee, the lady’s coordinator, and New Town Area Rep Mr. Dhan Bhujuwar visited Mrs. Basanti Jimi, who has returned from Nepal after completing her mother’s ritual. Her mother, a 75-year-old lady late Mrs. Debi Maya Jimi, died after oral cancer, which damaged her teeth and internally. Mrs. Basanti met and had a chance to see and speak with her mother for at least seven days before she passed away. Dieng through cancer is difficult to bear at such a young age, but life is like this. The Chair mesmerised Mrs. Basanti Jimi and gave a few words of wisdom to continue life without her parents. We all like our parents to live forever, but it is not always possible.

According to CNS tradition, we gave her a condolence card and RUPA (thread) with 7 knots to bring back her ties from her mother and a CNS hamper bag, including whiskey and some fruits.

The family, including her husband Prakash Jimi and their son and daughter, were settled and getting on with their lives after the loss of her mother. The family provided a first-class meal for the Executives, and we returned to our residents after a few hours, thanking them as a family.

I like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Dhan Bhujuwar for organising the visit, which was so difficult because of work patterns; the Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer were unable to be present at the visit on Monday evening.
