On Sunday, 22 June, the UK Nepal International bodybuilding League Competition was held at Empire Hall in Aldershot, drawing a vibrant crowd and showcasing impressive talent from across the UK and the Nepalese community. Organised by the UK Nepal International League for Bodybuilding Organisation, the event featured participants competing in various age and weight categories, celebrating both physical excellence and community pride.
Colchester was proudly represented by Captain Umesh Kumar Pun MVO and Mr Khim Bahadur Pun, both of whom achieved remarkable success. At the same time, Khim Bahadur Pun earned Second Runner-Up in the main open category, both notable accomplishments on a competitive national stage.
Khim Bahadur is a staff member at Gurkha Britannia. These two athletes have brought honour not only to themselves but to the wider Colchester Nepalese community. The Committee extends its heartfelt congratulations to both Capt. Umesh and Mr Khim Bahadur for their achievements and send them best wishes for continued success in future competitions.
In recognition of their outstanding performances, the Committee looks forward to organising a formal messing to celebrate and honour their accomplishments in due course.
