“Colchester’s City Status”

Dear Colleagues,

Colchester’s cabinet, the local MP, the leader of the Council, the town crier, Colchester Pipes and Drums with Colchester’s ancient-dressed Roman Saxons with local people gathered to celebrate Colchester’s City Status in front of the Mercury Theatre. The procession began at 17:28, and we marched to the town hall. The town crier gave a short speech about Colchester’s City Status and told the partakers how happy we were for the occasion. Everyone must be very proud of it.

After that, the cabinet and invited locals went to the Moot Hall for its first open council meeting after the City Status.

The rest of our CNS contingent then returned home. The chair and vice chair witnessed the first council meeting after the City Status at the Moot hall.

It was the experience of a lifetime, and I am sure everyone who attended must have enjoyed it.
