Dear Members,
As you may probably know, we collected some money instead of flowers from the mourners at the late Hari Lal Limbu's funeral. As you know, if we present flowers at the funeral, they will be rotten and wasted. So the funeral organisers provided loose flowers to present at the coffin, and whatever amount they were planning to spend for the flower, to chip into the collection box for the Cancer ward in Colchester General Hospital.
I believe the mourners listened to our plea and chipped in £326.88. We handed over £326.88 at 14:30 on Thursday, 5 January 2023, to Daniel Bailey, Community Fundraising Manager, Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity, East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
The photograph shows Mrs Binu Limbu, her daughter (Amina Limbu), Mr Deuman Limbu (Chair KYC), and I handed over £326.88 to Daniel Bailey on the forefront of Colchester Hospital's main entrance door.
