Dear Members,
The NHS staff from Essex Partnership University Foundation Trust arrived at Gurkha Britannia at 10:30 on Saturday, 15 October. They prepared everything for vaccination by 11:15.
The lady with vaccines arrived at 11:30 and began vaccinating our members, three members of the Indian community and one local British pub goers. A total of 50 vaccines were vaccinated. The NHS staff completed 39, we had lunch at 13:15, and 11 members were vaccinated after lunch. The NHS staff left Gurkha Britannia, completing their aim by 14:00.
Nothing would be possible without a first-class administration. It was provided by Capt Umesh Kumar Pun MVO and his two brother partners. They provided tea/coffee and a first-class classic curry, which went very well with the NHS staff. The curry was the top class, and they asked for a doggy bag, which Capt Man Bahadur made possible, and they were so grateful for providing curry lunch and a doggy bag for them.
I must also thank the members of Gurkha Home, a few members from Highwoods and Greenstead, and a few from New Town and St Michaels. Without their presence, we could not facilitate the program we organised today.
I must thank Chantal Williams from Essex Partnership University Foundation Trust for delivering the program; we appreciate it on behalf of CNS. And the members of NHS staff who came on the day.
I must also thank Mr Dhan Bhujuwar and Mr Deoman Limbu for filling in forms for those who could not fill out their vaccination forms.
They are looking to deliver another program for children 5-11 years, 12-17 years and adults any age in due course. If you think members need one, I can organise another program in November. Let me know.
Once again, I am delighted with how the program went today; the credit must go to Capt Umesh Kumar Pun MVO, Capt Man Bahadur Pun and Mr Dan Bahadur Pun, the proprietors of Gurkha Britannia, for the administration provided.
Well done!!!
