On Friday, August 2, 2024, family and friends gathered to bid farewell to Bigyan Gautam, who passed away on Sunday, July 7, at 6:50 AM at Farleigh Hospice in Chelmsford. Due to scheduling constraints, his funeral was held later than usual at the South Chapel in Chelmsford Cemetery and Crematorium.
The service began with mourners lining up in front of the crematorium, where Mr Craig from Great Baddow Co-op respectfully brought in the coffin. Dilip Mohora organized the heartfelt program, and he shared touching memories of his son-in-law, followed by tributes from other close friends and family members.
The coffin was respectfully placed into the chamber after a solemn prayer from the Pita Parmeshor group. The attendees then moved to Writtle Village Hall, where they were offered refreshments. During this time, Major (Retd) Udaibahadur Gurung, MBE, Chairman and Trustee, conveyed his condolences to Dipa, Bigyan's wife. He announced that the Colchester Nepalese Society had raised £2165 to support her and their daughter, with additional funds to be handed over by Sunday, August 4, 2024.
Gratitude was extended to Farleigh Hospice for their compassionate care during Bigyan's final days and to Mr Craig for his thoughtful handling of arrangements at Great Baddow Co-op.
Bigyan Gautam now rests peacefully, and his memory remains cherished by all who knew him.
