''Handing over Aid to the family of late Iswar Sahi''

Dear CNS members,

We visited Mrs Saraswoti Sahi and her son Suraj Sahi at their temporary residence yesterday 09Nov at 4:30pm. The CNS Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and Ladies Co-ordinator were present.

The Chairman and Treasurer summarised all the incomings and outgoings to the bereaved family and the ladies co-ordinator handed over the remaining balance of £2,522 from the funds received from the Thakuri Samaj UK; CNS received £3,047 from Thakuri Samak UK in support of Late Iswarbahadur Sahi

We thank our Chairman and Major Valentine West, SSAFA for assisting with the applications to the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) and the Royal British Legion (RBL) and in turn to ABF and RBL for taking the burden away from the grieving family. We received £1,600 from ABF and £1,200 from RBL towards the funeral cost. The remaining balance of £540 from the total funeral cost of £3,340 was covered from the funds received from Thakuri Samaj UK.

Previously, CNS handed over £500 to the widow after the funeral. In addition, our CNS members raised £1,441 via viber and donated a sum of £845 by visiting the bereaved family at the place of residence to show their solidarity and to help the grieving family.

We also handed over £231.20p to Vickie Peters from St Helena Hospice, which we collected at the funeral instead of flower offerings.

The committee members shared words of encouragement to the bereaved family before leaving the residence.

We also thank the host family (Eshor and family) for the temporary accommodation during this difficult time.

हामी हिजो ०९ नोभेम्बर साँझ ४:३० बजे श्रीमती सरस्वती शाही र उनका छोरा सुरज शाहीलाई उहाँहरुको अस्थायी निवासमा भेट्न गएका थियौं। हाम्रो नेपाली समाजको अध्यक्ष, उपाध्यक्ष, सचिव, कोषाध्यक्ष र महिला संयोजक उपस्थित थियौं।

अध्यक्ष र कोषाध्यक्षज्युहरुले स्वर्गीय सदस्य इश्वर साहीज्युको अन्तिम अन्त्येष्टि संक्षेप गर्नुभयो र को.ने.सोको महिला संयोजकबाट ठकुरी समाज युकेबाट प्राप्त कोषबाट बाँकी रहेको £२,५२२ सहयोग हस्तान्तरण गरियो।को.ने.सोलाई ठकुरी समाज युकेबाट £३,०४७ प्राप्त भएको थियो।

हाम्रा अध्यक्षज्यु र मेजर भ्यालेन्टाइन वेस्टज्युलाई (SSAFA) आर्मी बेनेभोलेन्ट फण्ड (ABF) र रोयल ब्रिटिश लिजन (RBL) मा आवेदन दिन सहयोग गर्नुभएकोमा धन्यवाद भन्न चाहन्छौँ र शोकमा परेका परिवारलाई आर्थिक सहयोग दिने ABF र RBL लाई पनि धन्यवाद भन्न चाहन्छौँ। ABF बाट £१,६०० र RBL बाट १,२०० सहयोग प्राप्त भएको थियो।£३,३४० कुल अन्त्येष्टि खर्चको बाँकि £५४० चाहीँ ठकुरी समाज युकेबाट प्राप्त सहयोगबाट जुटाइयो।

यसअघि, को.ने.सोले शोकाकुल परिवारलाई £५०० हस्तान्तरण गरेका थियौं। हाम्रा समाजका सदस्यज्युहरूले भाइबर मार्फत £१,४४१ र शोकाकुल परिवारलाई भेट्ने क्रममा परिवारलाई मद्दत गर्न निवास स्थानमा गएर £८४५ रकम सहयोग गर्नुभएको थियो।

हामीले सेन्ट हेलेना होस्पिसबाट विकी पिटर्सलाई £२३१.२० p पनि हस्तान्तरण गरेका थियौं, जुन हामीले फूल किन्नुको सट्टा अन्त्येष्टिका दिन संकलन गरेका थियौं।

उपस्थित समितिका सदस्यज्युहरूले निवास छाड्नुअघि शोकसन्तप्त परिवारलाई हौसला प्रदान गरेका थियौं।

अस्थायी आवासमा मद्दत दिनुहुने सदस्य ईश्वर साहीज्यु र परिवारमा पनी हामी आभार व्यक्त गर्दछौँ।
