"MUSIC VIDEO RECORDING FOR TEEJ SONG BY MRS KAMALA KHATRI SONGWRITER AND SINGER MISS SUNITA DULAL ON SUNDAY 14 MAY 2023 ON THE GROUNDS OF CASTLE PARK IN COLCHESTER"

It was a wonderful occasion for the ladies of the Nepalese Colchestarians, who had an excellent chance to take part in the music video recording by one of the best Teej song singers in Nepal. It was possible because Mrs. Kamala Khatri (wife of Mr. Yubaraj Khatri) had composed and written a TEEJ song. The song has been sung by Miss Sunita Dulal in Nepal already and both the songwriter and singer (Miss Sunita Dulal) decided to record the music video in Colchester on the grounds of Castle Park Gardens in Colchester. This is how it was possible for the music video recording in Colchester.

To make it happen, Mrs. Kamala Khatri requested the Chair/Trustee of Colchester Nepalese Society to seek permission from the Colchester City Council for their authority to record a music video on their grounds; after an email, the City Council gave authority to Colchester Nepalese Society for music video recording on their grounds but asked to forward a risk assessment of the activities. The Chair/Trustee completed the risk assessment and forwarded it to the City Council, and the authority came through for music video recording.

On Sunday morning, the weather looked a little bit gloomy with some clouds in the sky; apparently, the type of weather suits the music video recording, and the weather improved significantly as the day went by, and it certainly was a perfect day with the sun shining towards the evening.

Everyone gathered at the front of Colchester Castle, including the songwriter (Mrs. Kamala Khatri), singer (Miss Sunita Dulal), Director, Photographer, and Editor Mr. Kushal Shrestha, Choreographer Miss Sapana Rana Magar, Makeup artist Mrs. Dipika Shrestha and assistant Cameraman Mr. Khagendra Jung Thakuri and ladies from the Colchester Nepalese Community were there in their Teej costume, and they were looking gorgeous.

The music video recording began with the songwriter and singer the best wishes for the recording by offering some DHUP and dan to the camera, followed by the same offering by everyone, including ladies from Colchester Nepalese Society.

The recording took place in earnest for all the scenes required according to the song's requirement, including Dar Khane, the daughter meeting her parents during the Teej, etc. The recording took almost the whole day and ended around 5 pm. It was a most detailed recording. If the director was unhappy, it had to be recorded many times until it was perfect, so perfection was the game's name, thus the late finishing.

I must thank the songwriter (Mrs. Kamala Khatri). Without her song and the Singer (Miss Sunita Dulal), without her singing and plan to record the music video, nothing would have happened in Colchester. The director's direction and ability to decide what is required have played a crucial role in recording a music video in Colchester. Similarly, the Choreographer Sapana Rana Magar's decision on whether certain scenes need more rehearsal played an important role which was excellent, and the Makeup artist touching upon the makeup of the individuals made a huge difference. The assistant cameraman made a considerable contribution to recording the music video. Equally, all the ladies from the Colchester Nepalese Society who took part in the recording of the music video did play an excellent role during the recording.

Overall, it was an excellent day of music video recording and was enjoyed by everyone. However, all the recordings were repeated to make it a perfect music video for the TEEJ song, which will be screened before the TEEJ on 15 September 2023.
