Dear All,
You may not know Mr. Harka Sewa lost his mother (Mrs. Phulmati Sewa, who was 86 years old) on 19/03/2023. He went to Nepal and conducted her ritual according to Hindu ritual at Pashupatinath by a Pundit according to their tradition. They were back in Colchester on completion of her ritual. Still, unfortunately, due to various circumstances from both sides, the Chief executives and his family could not visit until Sunday, 2 July.
The Area Rep at St Michael's, Mr. Mahesh Gurung, organised at 2 pm on Sunday, 2 July, and we met Harka and his family at his residence. The Vice-Chair, the secretary, Ladies' Coordinator, Area Rep St Michael, and I were present. Having arrived and served with refreshments, the secretary reminded the reason for being at his residence and asked Chair/Trustee to say a few words.
The Chair/Trustee mesmerised that losing a mother leaves a void that can never truly be filled. The impact of her love, guidance, and presence lingers, shaping the lives of those she touched. Despite the sorrow, Harka Sewa cherishes the memories and lessons bestowed upon them by their mother. These precious legacies become a source of strength and inspiration, guiding them through life's challenges.
Harka Sewa's mother may no longer be physically present, but her memory lives on, offering solace, courage, and gratitude for their shared time. The journey of grief is a deeply personal one, and as Harka Sewa mourns their mother's passing, may they find strength in the knowledge that her legacy will endure, shaping their lives for years to come. He should continue, and life must go on.
After nearly two hours, we said goodbye to the Sewa family and returned to our residents. I must also thank Area Rep St Michael for administering and organising the program. Well done.
Udai B Gurung MBE
Chair/Trustee
