On Monday, August 26, 2024, the Colchester Nepalese Society (CNS) Executive Committee paid a heartfelt visit to Kushal Ghale and his family at their residence. The visit was organized to offer condolences following the passing of Kushal's 97-year-old mother, who died on July 6, 2024, in Pokhara, Nepal.

Led by the Chair, along with the Ladies Coordinator, Cultural Coordinator, and Advisor Kiran Gurung, the committee expressed their sympathies. The Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer could not attend due to prior engagements. During the visit, the Chair spoke fondly of Kushal's mother, who lived a full and meaningful life, passing away surrounded by her loving children. The Chair remarked on the profound nature of her passing and how it is a blessing to depart in the presence of one's family at such an advanced age.

As a token of their support, the Ladies' Coordinator and Chair draped Rupa around the necks of Kushal and his wife, Usha, symbolically bringing peace to their souls. They also presented condolence cards and CNS hamper bags to the family.

Kushal shared touching memories of his late mother, recalling how she single-handedly raised him and his three siblings after their father's untimely death when Kushal was just eight years old. He emphasized the importance of cherishing time with one's parents while they are still alive.

The visit concluded with Usha serving refreshments, and the CNS members departed after spending a few emotional hours with the family. Kushal's reflections on his mother's legacy highlighted mothers' irreplaceable role in shaping their children's futures, a sentiment that resonated deeply with all present.
